Iran is ready to reinitiate nuclear discussions with Washington on condition that it is approached with "respect" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated solely negotiations was effective, and revealed recent overtures had come from mediators to resume talks with the American leadership. He said Iran had zero secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to allow the UN nuclear inspectorate to inspect struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Navigating a Complex Route

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel within its borders that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the stalemate in the previous talks.

Prior Negotiations Unexpectedly Ended

The earlier sessions of talks between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter termination on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with the American leader asserting the sites had been eliminated. Subsequently, EU nations employed their authority to restore global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Ideal Resolution Offered

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with US participation could process nuclear material. Each party would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have remained and the US could be confident that Iran's atomic project was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been settled in the talks that American atomic experts could function inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the cooperative offer. Diplomats asserted three times they had achieved a deal with the US representative the US official only for the arrangement to collapse due to "spoilers in Washington".

Existing Status

Iranian officials said the cooperative arrangement was now no longer available, but it seems highly likely the offer could be resurrected in certain ways if discussions restart.

Trump recently claimed he had been obtaining communications that Iran desired to restart talks, but confidentially Iran's diplomats say they are not yet getting clear proposals from Washington either explicitly or from key regional mediators, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of passivity in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Iran states dialogue is not part of a show.

Political Standpoint

In his address to the gathering, designed to depict the US as a hegemonic power that misuses the concept of international law, Araghchi said the fortnight-long engagement demonstrated the clash could not be ended by military means. He asserted the attacks commenced with a US demand for an total Iran submission and ended with an absolute demand for a truce.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were mounted with total Washington understanding and coordination, making faith difficult to restore.

Negotiations Remains the Primary Solution

The foreign minister said: "It was not Iran that had deserted diplomacy; it was America and the European states that had repeatedly sought to impose their demands during the talks. Dialogue can still be viable and continues the ultimate resolution to resolve disagreements, but its requirements, guidelines and tenets must be adhered to."

"If they talk to the citizens of Tehran with the tone of dignity and honor, they will receive a reply in the same language."

Restoration and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Iran's diplomats as the conflict of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi stated he was assured Iran's military capacities "are much stronger than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been reestablished. We learned many lessons from this conflict; we have come to know our personal limitations and the vulnerabilities of the opponent."

He added: "We successfully passed this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to obliterate, continues to exist. The facilities and equipment, if destroyed, will be rebuilt; what is important is the will of the citizens of Tehran and then the social solidarity that they sought to undermine, but were unable to destroy. The citizens of Tehran have developed stronger, more cohesive, and more backing of the leadership and the country in the aftermath of this attack."
